We are a long-established insurance carrier seeking a highly skilled Duck Creek Claims Programmer with 5+ years of hands‑on experience to join our in‑house technology team. This is a key technical role as a Developer supporting our claims operations, system enhancements, and long-term platform strategy. You will work closely with business leaders, analysts, and IT stakeholders to ensure our Duck Creek Claims environment is stable, scalable, and optimized for performance and growth.

This position is ideal for a developer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You will take ownership of Duck Creek Claims development, configuration, and integration work, while also collaborating and contributing to architectural decisions and long-term system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Duck Creek Development & Configuration

  • Design, develop, and configure Duck Creek Claims components
  • Build and maintain custom business rules and workflows
  • Develop integrations with internal and external systems using APIs and web services

System Enhancements & Support

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes
  • Support system upgrades, patching, and version migrations

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with our business to refine requirements
  • Contribute to sprint planning
  • Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides
  • Ensure code quality through testing and adherence to best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Duck Creek Claims development experience
  • Solid understanding of Duck Creek architecture, data structures, and integration points
  • Background in P&C insurance claims systems
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work remotely at most times, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
